DECODING THE FAWN RESPONSE

SOMATIC STRESS RELEASE

Discover your body story

"Somatic exercises can change how we live our lives, how we believe that our minds & bodies interrelate, how powerful we think we are in controlling our lives, & how responsible we should be in taking care of our total being."

-Thomas Hanna

What is Somatic Therapy?

Soma: the body

Somatic Therapy is a holistic body-led approach to finding relief from stressors and trauma.  It focuses on inner sensation rather than cognitive or emotional experiences.

The goal of somatic therapy is to release chronic tension, improve movement patterns, and enhance body-mind integration through mindful, internal exploration.  â€‹

Western society has placed a focus on cognitive processing and development, which has left many stuck in their heads - overanalysing and pathologising - but barely moving forward.

Have you ever known why you were feeling/ responding to a situation a certain way, but couldn't shift the physical sensations that kept you in that state?

  • The knot in your throat when you're afraid to speak up for yourself...

  • The tension in your jaw when someone criticises your work...

  • The tightness in your chest when receiving a 'we need to talk' message...

  • The sinking nausea in the pit of our stomach when we get bad news...

  • The lead-weight heaviness of a body holding grief...

  • The feeling you've run a marathon when you've been sat at a desk all day...

The reason is this: The body keeps the score.

The secrets to unlocking your blocks, challenges and relationships lie in the innate wisdom and story of your body.

Who Will Be Guiding You?

I'm Victoria. I support people who want to feel grounded, resilient, and at ease in their own skin

Not just surviving the demands of life and work, but feeling truly aligned and fulfilled.

My approach blends nutritional therapy, lifestyle tools, mindset work, and somatic practices, because real healing happens when we address the body as a whole: mind body and spirit.

With safety, play, and growth at the core of my work, I’m here to help you reconnect with yourself, restore your energy, and build the resilience to thrive (not just get by).

If you’re ready to feel more resourced in your daily life and supported in your nervous system, I’d love to help.

What To Expect

HERE'S HOW A SESSION WORKS

DISCOVERY CALL If you are a new client, book in for a free 20 minute call to introduce ourselves, discuss your goals and whether we might be a good fit to work together.

SCHEDULE A SESSION We'll book in a time and date and I'll send you all the info you'll need for the session. Payment will be taken through an online booking link.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A SESSION We will start by discussing if there is anything in particular you want to focus on in the session. If not - don't worry! We can explore this through the body. I will guide you through an arrival practice and from there we will explore different modalities including breath work, movement, fascia release and imagery work depending on your needs in that session. We close with a restorative practice to help you integrate what was explored in the session.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR A SESSION Wear loose fitting and comfortable clothing. Prepare a private space where you have space to move. Have a mat, chair, pillow, blanket, and journal nearby. If available, gather a tennis or lacrosse ball and any gym or yoga equipment you may already own. Before the session make space to ask yourself what you are interested in working on. Afterwards, allow time to go for a walk or take rest. The work will continue to integrate in your system throughout the day and into the week.
